Zortrax Release the M300 3D Printer

After the massive success of the highly acclaimed Zortrax M200, lot’s of users have been asking for a larger version.. Well your wait is about to come to an end.

On 28/06/16 at the 2016 Additive Manufacturing Show in Amsterdam, Zortrax announced their new M300. Essentially a bigger version of the Zortrax M200 with a 300mm cubed build volume.

We’re expecting it to be available this Autumn, with an approximate price tag around the £4,000 mark.

Dream 3D visited the Additive Manufacturing Show and got the see the M300 up close and printing. On first impression it looks massive and the M200’s around it looked tiny in comparison. We spoke with the Zortrax team who explained the machine in a bit more detail to us.

The extruder is exactly the same as the M200, so print quality will remain the same. The perforated plate has been developed further apparently and is produced from a different material to the M200, improving adhesion on larger models up to 300 x 300 mm. There will be larger spools available and the spool holder has been developed to allow it to click into place and be held securely on the back of the machine, although you will still be able to use the smaller spools with an adapter as the material is the same. Something else to note is that the side covers and doors will be packaged with the printer, so you wont need to purchase them separately as with the smaller M200.
