Bring your Ultimaker 2 up to Ultimaker 2+ Standard, with the Extrusion Upgrade Kit

When Ultimaker revealed that they were bringing out the new Ultimaker 2+ a few months ago now, I was pretty confident we would be seeing a kit of some description to upgrade the older machines. It just goes along with everything Ultimaker have always done. The Original is a prime example of Ultimaker offering upgrades for their older machines, which is a fantastic reassurance as a consumer.

The new kit enables you to turn your Ultimaker 2 into the exact same printer as a 2+. It includes a new geared feeder motor and cover, a complete replacement print head with an upgraded cooling system and heater. The print head also offers interchangeable nozzles, of which 4 are supplied (0.25mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm and 0.8mm).
